In a continuous and potentially unfinished process of transformation, and with the incorporation of authors, musicians and performers, the artist generates a fascinating network of relationships and references.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition <em>Vice de forme: Das Kabarett<\/em> is based on Sa\u00e2dane Afif\u2019s 2009 sculpture <em>Vice de forme<\/em>, comprising a cylinder, cube and sphere, in which the artist references the sculpture <em>Hommage <\/em><em>\u00e0<\/em> <em>priape <\/em>(1920\/1972) by Man Ray and the cartoon <em>Psychose d&#8217;attentat <\/em>(1974) by the French comic artist Reiser. <em>Vice de forme<\/em> forms the starting point in turn for sixteen poetic interpretations or sets of lyrics, composed by different authors on the subject of this work. Based on these lyrics, the composer Augustin Maurs has developed a cabaret for a female vocalist and a pianist. After Maurs has played and recorded the <em>First Notes<\/em> of this composition on the Player Piano at the opening event, they will be played within the <em>Vice de forme<\/em> exhibit throughout its duration. As protagonists of the cabaret, the three gigantic geometric shapes accompany both the <em>First Notes<\/em> opening performance and the concert <em>In Songs<\/em> at the end of the exhibition, at which all the lyrics are interpreted and performed by the singer Anna Clementi and the pianist Clemens\u00a0Hund-G\u00f6schel.
