ENGLER SIEHT ROTH # 11

Minutenkiller
Martin Engler and Davíð Þór Jónsson conduct live research with Dieter Roth’s old Bösendorfer grand piano. In continuous contact with Deutschlandradio’s recording engineer in his mobile studio, Engler and Jónsson set off on a quest for who/what is doing away with the minutes in Roth’s famous Radiosonate Nr.1 (1976). “The expedition tracks down the greatest, most effective minute-murderers and killers of time in the oeuvre of Dieter Roth, and looks into personal experiences and potential applications.” (M.E.)

Musik für Dieter Roth
The works of Dieter Roth continue to be an important source of inspiration for sound artists and experimental musicians. Sven-Åke Johansson, Ignaz Schick, Dieter Fischer and Martin Engler express their thanks to him with Musik für Dieter Roth.

In cooperation with Deutschlandradio Kultur.
(broadcast of the live recording on July 31, 2015 at 0:05 a.m.)
