Annika Kahrs: OFF SCORE LIVE
Performance program accompanying the exhibition
Annika Kahrs
OFF SCORE
14.11.2025 – 03.05.2026
Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart
Invalidenstraße 50, 10557 Berlin
Berlin-based artist Annika Kahrs is presenting OFF SCORE, her first comprehensive institutional solo exhibition, at Hamburger Bahnhof. It offers an overview of her work from the past 16 years, featuring video works, sound installations, and performances, each presented at specific locations inside and outside the museum.
The performance program OFF SCORE LIVE presents a selection of her performances from recent years for the first time on three evenings at the Musikinstrumenten-Museum, the Medizinhistorischen Museum, and the Heilige-Geist-Kirche. Annika Kahrs is interested in transitions—between music and noise, performance and listening, history and the present. In her performances, she questions musical structures as well as the codes and parameters of music production, performance practice, and listening habits. By challenging virtuosity and deliberately dissolving traditional forms, she creates a new understanding of musical experience.
The performances are part of the event series Hamburger Bahnhof On Tour. With this series, marking its 30th anniversary, the museum places a special focus on collaboration and exchange with other cultural partners across Berlin.
An event by Freunde* Guter Musik Berlin e. V. in cooperation with Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, Musikinstrumenten-Museum SIM PK, Berliner Medizinhistorisches Museum der Charité, Ev. Heilige-Geist-Kirche-Gemeinde.
