In her new performance “Score of Symptoms,” conceived for the Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop, Kahrs addresses illness and healing as existential states. The venue, the Hörsaalruine in the Berliner Medizinhistorisches Museum, becomes a symbol of wounding and transformation. Kahrs understands healing not as a return to a former state but as an individual, transformative process, expressed performatively here through sound, gesture, and physicality.

The performance connects the perspectives of those who heal and those who are being healed and places their complex and deeply human relationship in dialogue through sound and music. As an artistic approach, the concept of a medical score serves as a loose template for a musical score.
